Resumen:

Antimicrobial resistance has become a multi-faceted problem. This problem is further worsened owing to increasing complexities related to transmission and evolution of novel resistance determinants and resistant bacterial clones. The World Health Organization advocates a One-Health based approach to the problem to be most desirable to attaining a more holistic view of the problem. In this meeting I share my “short” journey in AMR research spanning the three domains of the One-Health at different time points, particularly as it relates to low-and- middle-income countries.
